Looking forward to watching some Bergman, heard a lot of good things about his films but never watched one.

Starting with The Seventh Seal is always the way to go.

That’s the one I started with I’m halfway now and s*** is interesting to say the least, but have some plans now so gonna continue watching tomorrow.

as a kid kubrick was the man for me and I didn't understand a lot of it, but kubrick's get better the more you watch them

my cousin had grabbed a DVD box set (which is quite f***ing shoddy, I still own it out of attachment)

only watched 2001, FMJ and the shining out of those. never saw clockwork orange, barry lyndon or lolita at that age. I saw dr strangelove but I didn't really get it when I was 11-12. now it's my tied favorite with 2001

yeah pops made me watch 2001 alot of time as a kid, didnt fathom it till late high school. he was also an extreme Lynch Dune stan

my dad loathes sci-fi that's probably why I never saw star wars until I was 14 too

the only thing we watched together was short silents (found them uber boring young), noir and westerns/spaghettis whenever we could catch them on TCM or if i torrented something

Yeah I'm a farm boy so i was raised on plenty of westerns... lots of Leone and 90s classics like Tombstone and Dead Man. Also a random smattering of Shaw Brothers and Bruce Lee out house was little so I could crack my door at night and secretly watch adult films all through my childhood. Bram Stokers Dracula f***ed me up.

Didn't see OUATITW till I was grown though and it's never left my top 5 oat

That's probably in the top 3 with Come Drink With Me and 36 Chambers imo but everyone has a different list
