was gonna cop one this month but these last 4 weeks i've blown around 400 with all these sales. told myself not to buy anything anymore and the arrow sale and eureka's billy wilder sale comes along

i'll wait till prime day or the crit sale. i really want one

our stupid film institute gave the rights to an inept company that made a $300 set out of the same transfers... on DVD

most of the stuff from the arrow sale i've already seen, but the blinds i grabbed are le plaisir, tout va bien, eight hours don't make a day (their box sets are steals, £15 for that one), also haven't seen killer's kiss which is included with the killing

all the wilder stuff blind buys for me tho except ace in the hole
stalag 17, double indemnity + lost weekend.

    LMAO

SFI f***ed for restoring this s*** for Crit and not giving a s*** about their home market

Then again: Crit Bergman set unusually region free

no coincidence they should just sell the criterion set in sweden

sjostrom is in dire need of restorations

Ingeborg Holm, The Prince of Betrayal/Judaspengar, Terje Vigen, Berg-Ejvind, and Karin Ingmarsdotter, apart from Körkarlen have been restored on 2K or 4K.

Not a lot of his work unfortunately. These are his earliest stuff pretty much. Nobody has released any of it yet except for Körkarlen.

I’m sure they’ll get around to fixin up the rest in a few years

The ones that have been restored and digitalized you can watch in their little screening rooms they’ve got in their library for a small fee. Might check out Terje Vigen once they open again
