Was looking into wealth management internship before iirc but i dont qualify cause of how soon my grad date is. Also believe when i asked a recruiter about applying for regular jobs she said theu only do so in august/september so i still would have a year to wait after my grad to get that shot. Gonna def look more into this tho diff companies and all seems like it would b a valid career

Lol nahh not even econometrics i was able to snipe a seat wit a good prof for it just took his final a couple days ago felt kinda like a breeze but he one them proffesors where it dont even felt like u learned from the course. Only class that did me wrong was a econ money and banking class were my uni swapped professors week b4 classes began ima get on that lsat exam tho and looking into compliance jobs tho . really appreciate it family.

Definitely recommend checking out independent RIAs. You dont get the big name like “Goldman Sachs” or “JP Morgan” but the environments are generally more chill and you get more freedom and more 1-on-1 experience/access to the highest producing advisors for tips, tricks, etc.

They usually hire as needed too from what i remember when i graduated

You also have a bigger chance at inheriting B.O.B when advisors retire/leave. I started out as an operations manager (basically handling anything clients need when they arent having their quarterly review) and now im in a supervisor role looking over the Ops team and have my own clients.

So its a little more work upfront and doesnt carry as much prestige but a great opportunity if it aligns with what youre interested in
