    been tryna get into electronic music for my production

    their first album was/is so inspirational to me in so many ways, the way people hold drake up as a beacon of toronto is the way I look at these guys. they captured the feeling of the city so perfectly

    You’re lucky to be experiencing these for the first time. In high school I was obsessed. People say snow strippers sounds like them but imo they dont (still awesome though). Nothing sounds like crystal castles

    they are more on the party side for sure, they lack that full-blown melancholy feel and productions are simpler, but I think it's enough, i think it's better than trying to be exact copies
