How Juan? Cuz I make happy music now? I think me just being happy is just as powerful as when I was in the dark if not more. Before there was lil hope, now theres so much more. Over 10 years of depression and suicidal thoughts, I think If i never made another sad song again my mission is still the same. Me being alive and happy is continuing the mission, NOT talking about wanting to blow my brains out and how sad I am. How many years of sad music can a man make before it gets lame?? Love Cudi and happy for the peace he found. But the music is trash. It’s not about depression or sad songs. Not only is the music production trash but his overall aesthetic which was a huge part of his appeal is trash now too.

I also realized that the presence and absence of Plain Pat and Emile played a HUGE role in what we all found genius in Cudi. Cudi was like their project tbh.

Pat still has credits here and there but i think the pact they all had is non existence and now Cudi’s left to his own devices (along with Dot)

Kinda like with WZRD and Indicud which I liked tbh but lacked that depth and direction from the Good Music team.

Now listen to PPDS which brought all of them back together. IMO one of the best projects in the 2010’s. Should’ve been MOTM3 and that was full of inspirational and uplifting songs.

Cudi is past his prime but he needs to realize it’s the whole artistic shift that’s getting him this hate
