What do you propose?
Just having a poorly reviewed album or movie wouldn't be enough. He's too far gone for that. His ego needs to be completely smashed and obliterated to the point of no return. Only when he sees himself as less than dirt can he begin to rebuild his sense of self-worth, ideally a guided process in some mental facility. With narcissism as severe as his, electroshock therapy might be necessary. Trained psychologists and handlers can teach him to view himself realistically as a man who had 2 average albums over a decade ago and has now exhausted his reservoir of musical talent.
