Played a lot of the series. Not all of it though.

I beat every mainline game from 1-10
1-8 with a pretty much 100% completion

I did 3,4,5,7 a bunch of times

The older episodes are definitely worth mentioning and playing, Final Fantasy 5 is as underrated as something can be, it's a brilliant game

Final Fantasy 2 too, it's over hated even though it has some amazing concepts and ideas

My favorites would be : 5,6,7

When I get a chance after work i’ll go dig out the rest of my PS1 & PSP games. A lot on PSP like Crisis Core, Tactics and s***. I have a lot of Misc FF stuff boxed up(Imports & Accessories, etc...). The only mainline games I haven’t played are XI, XIV & XV. I don’t imagine i’ll play XIV because I just never do the online games.

Only one I ever played was the first one’s remake on GBA. I got 4 and 6 on my SNES emulator but I haven’t touched them though I’ve been meaning to get into the series

man that's a job itself trying to do all that. I've beaten 7 - 10 + 15 Dissidia and that was a very tiring. I played some of the spin offs like crystal chronicles and crisis core but i've never got around beating them. I don't believe you can do all that unless your Seriously dedicated or you've been playing FF since a young age

Yes I beat every FF game from 1 to 15. I even played 100 hours of FF14 And a few hours of 11 when I was younger. I played the spin off too.

4, 6, 7-9, and 10 are my favorites. I recommend playing the updated PSP versions of FF 1-3. If you can't find those I think they were released on 3DS or PC. The original releases are whew boy(avoid). 4 and it's sequel the after years are dope af again play the DS remake or the PSP updated version of FF4. 7 is of course a GOAT game. I feel like 8 is heavily slept on and I wish it got a remake or even a remaster with updated models. I love 9, I feel like it perfected the Playstation 1 era mechanics. 10 is of course another GOAT game with memes and all. 12 is dope, I think the PS4 remaster was definitely needed. The game I'm surprised didn't get a remaster is FF13. FF 13 desperately needs a remaster and I was shocked Square didn't capitalize on it. I feel like 13 is good just underwhelming. It's sequel games are way better imo.

15 is the only similar gameplay wise. I honestly say play 7 original and if you like it play X. If you like that play IX. 6, 8. Then 12 if you want to venture out to real time

Ive only wanted to try do it for the main line so ive beaten 1-5, 10,10-2 and played bits of the others here and there. Gotta jump back into it eventually tho

& the PSP version is better than that one.

Is if worth getting into XIV?

Fam, they've gone hard asf with the narrative in each expansion - sometimes I get frustrated at the amount of cutscenes in some sections

I've completed the main story and I'm still missing raids, dungeons, trials, still got classes to try out plus the class stories themselves, haven't even touched most of the sidequests in the game lol. It's an easy game to play casually so you can try it out for free up the second expansion I think.

Endwalker dropping this winter and that'll be the last expansion for this story but the game will continue after that, no idea how they're gonna wrap things up though.

I enjoyed 13 too actually, even though I didn't actually beat it all the way through. Not did I play the sequels. 13 kind of reminded me of 10 a bit which is my favorite.

Never played an online final fantasy as I'm not an online gamer or care for it but I've always sort of been curious about ffxi and XIV

well the first expansion or two are free so you can just try it and if you don't like it you can delete it
