one thing I still don't quite understand is why Nikki lies to Bear about her father dying...it's established real Nikki didn't get along with her dad but why was "obsessed" Nikki saying her father died and that she was distraught over it if that wasn't the case?

to relate to his cat dying. Because otherwise he was saying to go home . If they both her something to be sad about it made sense . Even if not close with dad that’s enough reason to be with bear. Like a vampire he choose to let her in

so I guess that's why she slips up and also says her cat died at one point

yes why would she take mdma for trivia night and show no signs of it til wish made

it was right after the wish was made . It kind of insinuates that if you love someone more than anything in the f\*\*\*ing world their pain is your pain because you are codependent

gotcha...that initial turn was what I had the most trouble with I couldn't tell if it was real Nikki kind of fighting off the "magic" at first or just the wish taking some time to fully kick in lol

just a good reason why I need to watch it again lol I guess that makes sense though his obsession with her was so crucial that he wasn't even able to be forthcoming with her and in return when she becomes obsessed with him she's making excuses and not being forthcoming either at first

It’s a good rewatch there are many details in her performance more than just “ woo she crazy”

she was incredible and I hope she both gets some nominations when award season rolls around and also hope this leads to her landing some awesome future roles (and hopefully not just typecast either...I watched that Trap House movie she's in and while the movie itself is not great she's very good with what she's given)

I think it was a bit of both

Happy for this movie! Doing things that barely any movies do.

Kinda nervous for Curry’s follow up though tbh. It stars him and his sketch friend as ‘basically those characters’ from all the sketches but I hope it still breaks off and gets disturbing and uncomfy. It sounds like a mix of obsession tone and their sketch YouTube tone.
