Tbh no matter what, every universally loved film will eventually reach the stage after it’s theatrical release where people will start saying “this didn’t live up to the hype” or “idk why people were praising this so much”

Happened with Sinners recently as well

But people just gotta accept that not every movie is going to appeal to their tastes, but that doesn’t mean that everyone else is overrating a film.

Sinners is the first Tarantino movie by actual black people and we get precious few movies made by black writer-directors with black stars that have budgets etc. So we don't get a lot to compare it to.

There are a million cheap horror movies by white boys and most of them suck ass. Like, ass ass ass. Nothing but ass. This might as well be Jaws by comparison.

This movie wasn’t scary until I had a dream she was in the corner of my room.

    Now I’m shook
