Ok so first thing is understanding the spreads.Lets say we have Lakers vs Clippers. Lakers are -3 and Clippers are +3..that means the clips are getting 3 points so think of it as the game starting 3-0 Clippers....If you take the Lakers and it ends 92-88 Lakers then you cover the spread because its actually 92-91. If it ends 92-90 Lakers then you lose.
Over/Unders work the same way...if it is set at 214 then you just add the points of both teams up and bet over or under. Pretty straightforward
Moneyline/Odds
Now if you dont want to bet the spread and you just want to bet a team winning straight up regardless of spread then you bet whats called the moneyline. Lets say Lakers are -125 and Clippers are +115. So the plus side, the underdog, is easy to calculate..115 means for every 100 bucks you put down you win 115 if your bet hits (and get your initial 100 back obv). So 10 dollars wins you 11.5, etc. For the minus side, the favorites, you need a lil math...Do 100 divided by whatever the money line is...so 100/125=0.8 ...So for every 100 dollars you place you win .8 of that so if you bet Lakers here and won you'd win 80.
So obviously the higher the moneyline the bigger the favorite or underdog is. So like If a team is -400 there' really no sense in betting on them because you're only gonna win 25cents to every dollar you put down and vice versa if a team is +400 they prob f***in suck
Parlays
Here's the devil..you usually lose all your money but every now and then you hit one and it pulls you back in. A Parlay just means you take multiple bets and they all have to hit or you lose. So say you take Lakers, Suns, and Raptors moneylines and 2 out of the 3 win, then your whole bet loses. This higher risk is obv offset by higher reward as your payout exponentially grows the more teams you add to a parlay.
And you can bet on basially anything...1st quarter spread, a players total number of rebounds, etc etc
If you're in a state where its legal its easy with apps like FanDuel but i dont think either of u are so best bet is to use Bovada or, if you know how to use bitcoin, go with NitrogenSports.
Hope this makes sense

Whatcha mean? Like if it ends 28-0? Then it’s a push and there’s no action, you just get your money back

I'm not sure if Fanduel is 100% legal in Florida but if it wasn't legal i wouldn't be able to access the site i think, which i can
FanDuel currently restricts paid entry in the following states:
· Arizona
· Hawaii
· Idaho
· Iowa
· Louisiana
· Montana
· Nevada
· Washington
I guess i'm good
