i think i let regular tonsillitis get too bad once cuz i thought it was just regular sore throat from allergy drainage which turned into abscess, and now it's just sketchy af anytime my sinuses get messed up
ENT Dr diagnosed me with sinus infection + tonsillitis rn and idk what started it, usually this s*** comes and goes after like 2 days

Surprised they haven’t advised a tonsillectomy yet.
I’d look into some supplements first tho, some can do wonders fr
Sounds like an irregular immune activation since the steroids help clear it. One thing u can try (tho it’s expensive) is SPM’s. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21261595
(They’ve helped my moms long covid symptoms massively). Brand - metagenics.
Nac 600-1200mg could be helpful too, precursor to the body’s most essential anti-oxidant

for the tonsils it's difficulty/pain swallowing (because of tonsil not back of throat) and/or tonsils are swollen and getting close to uvula

the first time I went to the ER and they "perforated" my tonsil so it could drain but that didn't end up working so it came back 6 weeks later and the hospital admitted me and made me get emergency surgery where they cut the tonsil open and cleaned out the infection even tho i was in way less pain than the previous visit
