and this kinda ties to what @Vietbrah linked me yesterday with the snoop feature on the viet track. it actually even has close to the amount of views that his feature on psy's single has :

at 340 million. to keep in context tho, for the longest time, thanks to gangham style, anything psy put out would immediately get views more than any other korean artist or group, by far, EVEN if the song wasn't that strong. basically, if you're hitting that amount of views compared to one of the most popular youtube music video artists, it's f***ing major.

so tying it all together-- it's crazy that given how small we've seemingly made the world with our ability to consume and connect with people instantly all over the world, the world is still actually pretty big. the fact that you can be a well known artist/celebrity, go to the other side of the world, release a video to get 250 million views, and have it be unknown to probably some of the most connected and plugged in ppl (like yall itt), it goes to show the world still is massive in a sense.

and going back to IOI--at the very least, at least they're sampling the track. BUT, there are a lot of asian, and eastern european markets that straight up copy korean, (and i assume other countries) tracks with no shame. It's the same exact song, just produced really s***ty, and sung in a different language, and no one bats an eye, because for the most part, no one will ever hear about it. But the artist and groups that release those tracks still get a hit in their country LMAOOO. s***s f***ing crazy tbh. It's like that "everyone forgets who the beatles are" featuring ana de armas movie that i can't remember the name of.
