dam this remix really brings up so many old memories

back when i was into RL grime and every single f***ing person was remixing drake in any way they could

at that time, there was this venue that would have free shows of awesome DJs

it would be free if you got there super early, but they were awesome DJs. the only thing is that they were on a wednesday night. and i lived an hour 15 minutes away. and worked at 7 am. but i still would drive up there, see the show, come back, sleep three hours and be there at work lmao

random story so i can continue to stay awake

take care always reminds me of hanging out with my bros in my car in suburbia and going to random ass places at 3 am just for them to hotbox my car, and listen to take care

the thing is our area was patrolled quite often, and nosy ass people always calling the police n s***, so it was really hard to find a place to park and chill for an hour plus uninterrupted

but we did find an elementary school parking lot that had a section of it kinda secluded and in the total darkness that you couldn't see us from the main road

one night we were there, and there was a light rain. i already had my sunroof open, and to keep the vibe, i just opened up an umbrella and had it hang over/thru the sunroof. it was great.

it was just me and my bro chilling, him smoking, and take care ofc, but then i just see these headlights pull into the elementary school , and then they turn on their spotlight. im like F***

i immediately start my car, and try to start driving, but i forgot the umbrella is hanging from the roof, so i'm trying to get that umbrella back in with one hand, and shift and drive with the other, and then im like "fuck, we CANNOT get caught with weed on the grounds of an elementary school"

so i tell my friend to give me his s***, and i throw it out the window. absolutely stupid, but my only option at the moment. the thing is i dont know how or why the cop didn't come after us immediately, but as we pulled out the parking lot, we saw him 180 and come our way

luckily we lived in area that is hilly af, and there's a million ass suburban streets that all circle and connect w each other. i saw him behind us, but thank the lord there was a hill and an immediate neighborhood to turn into as soon as we were further down the hill (the cop being on the other side of the hill still so he couldn't see us turn).

s*** was intense af. we finally make it out miles away from where the cop was, and my friend says "dude, i can't believe we f***ing got awa---" and at that instant, the next thing i see are the back legs of a deer over my f***ing car. i immediately hit the brakes, but i was way too late. luckily the deer actually kobe'd the s*** out of my car and cleared it because there's no way i would have been able to reacted quickly enough to not hit it.

the thing that actually sticks with me the most is that in that hysteria in trying to drive, while f***ing with an umbrella out the sunroof, and throwing weed out the window, while avoiding the cop is that my first thought was "if we get caught, i have to tell him 'sorry officer, we were sucking each other's d***s....we're gay and we cant have anyone know' "

idk, i still think it would have been a good excuse. my only wonder is if he would make us prove it tho

lmaooooooo i actually had tickets for that show

it was one of the first shows me and my s/o would be going to

but then as the show got closer, i saw that people were selling each ticket we bought for like 30 for about $125 each

i was like "uhh....i dont like either of these enough to pass up $250"

so i sold them. and then when the hysteria started happening w jeremih, it was such affirmation that i did the right thing lmao
