Rappers loved Trump before he was President, and he was also famous way longer

I understood it before presidency but still - I would think rappers would either stop acknowledging or disapprove him, but the near worship of this guy is much more prevalent and really puts the political views and integrity of rappers into question.

Facts. A lot of rappers did stop, but unfortunately Trump’s popularity has been rising the past few years and that includes with some rappers.

Another thing is he paid a lot of rappers for endorsements in his 2020 campaign, or in the case of Wayne and Kodak offered a pardon in exchange for endorsements.

The wild thing is I can't tell what is ironic, and what is genuine support disguised as irony, and thats a problem in itself. Hell the fact that Obama wasn't celebrated as much and isn't recalled nearly as much as trump is today is very telling about the priorities of these rappers. He might have offered them deals, but they didn't have to take it - and thats where the integrity thing comes in.

I think it really all boils down a maturity problem. Sure they're rich, and talented, but they still expose their lack of foresight and ability to see themselves as others see them with statements like "Trump is a gangster". Its as if they don't understand they are a reflection of the genre, and by extension, black culture. Like, do you realize how this makes you look? How can I take anything you say seriously after this? I've always tried to defend rappers from the critique of being egotistical attention chasers but this makes it hard to.

Kodak and Wayne sort of get a pass. I'd respect them for exposing the endorsement agreement way more, but thats a battle you probably don't want with a guy like Trump. Really puts things into perspective when you realize Eminem of all people made the most vocal and heartfelt statement of anger at Trump. F***ing Eminem man, what a clown world.

  • A lot more black people want trump back now atleast in my area

It’s not that deep. Plenty of people were attracted to trump by virtue of how direct and forthright he was in comparison to politicians who have historically been experts at giving non answers and not saying what they mean

Uh yes it is that deep. Black rappers endorsing one of the most quotably racist and psychotic presidents, who would slam the "deport all minorities" button if he had one is indicative of many problems... regardless of why. They could have chose any celebrity, any black celebrity with the same lack of filter, but they choose Trump of all people.

its not for attention, theres just a significant portion of people who think Trump was like some cool rebel disruptor and dont care for whatever concrete political effects him and his party have

In case of an investigation by any federal entity or similar, I do not have any involvement with this group or with the people in it, I do not know how I am here, probably added by a third party, I do not support any actions by the member of this group.

People are going to give me s*** for this, but please try to exact revenge on the government that drove you to this point on the way out. Too many just get angry at society and lash out randomly at that point without ever thinking about sending a message or otherwise letting the act be not in vain. You know who hurt you. The United States government.

Compared to the current guy, trump is a regular bill Clinton

On the other hand, what you expect of rappers? Most are actually conservative af

Capitalists, religious, a lot of em homophobic/transphobic, objectifying women every chance they get, they don't want to pay much taxes now they rich, macho behaviour (probably in favour of showing military might in the international arena) etc.
The only thing is most rappers black and conservatives racist as s***...
