ryuHI just heard what he said. I don’t see how this is such a big deal. I mean I can kind of get how a member of the LGBT community would feel slightly disrespected by it but if that’s the case whoever felt disrespected don’t have to be fans. He didn’t use any slurs or anything. He was just talking s*** as rappers typically do. 20 years ago Eminem said every 4 bars and white america loved him for it. That little comment in the middle of his performance was lite in comparison.
If I’m black and your white you don’t have to like me and get along with me or even say nice things about me. I just need to have equal rights and opportunities as you and the law should treat us the same. That’s it. Same if I’m straight and you gay. You and I should have the same rights and equal protection under the law but that doesn’t mean we have to play nice with each other and walk on eggshells. People are entitled to having their beliefs/opinions as long as it doesn’t infringe on the freedoms of others.
I’m all for equality but we shouldnt be silencing people and stopping people from expressing themselves. It ain’t hurting nobody. I don’t agree with his opinion but he still has a right to have one. Media just sensationalize anything.
What people like you have to understand is that rhetoric like DaBaby’s is very literally violence against another group of people. People are allowed to have different opinions but people are also allowed to react to them, businesses not excluded.
Im so tired of this ‘it isn’t hurting anyone’ bullshit like think critically for one second you can’t see how this hurts LGBT men or people living with HIV/AIDS? You really can’t see how encouraging people to openly mock you might make your life more difficult?
