It's why all these numbers are bullshit. If an artist gets put on a playlist it helps a ridiculous amount.
No doubt DaBaby/his label pays to be on them too (just like other pop stars do as well)

I don't know how many times it needs to be said but monthly listeners doesn't equal gaining more streams.
The Weeknd was the artist with the most monthly listeners for most of last year and Drake outstreamed him.
Same with DaBaby. He has more monthly listeners than Drake but Drake is pulling more daily streams than him and has been doing so since the year started.
Let me highlight some of my earlier posts on this for those who missed it.

This is an accurate list of the most streamed artists in the US (based on the Rolling Stone Artist 500 Chart) so far this year, updated through last week.
1. Drake - 2,236.2B
2. Morgan Wallen - 2,130.9B
3. Taylor Swift - 2,116.3B
4. Juice WRLD - 1,664.1B
5. YoungBoy Never Broke Again - 1,463.7B
6. The Weeknd - 1,378.3B
7. Lil Baby - 1,287.6B
8. Pop Smoke - 1,281.2B
9. Justin Bieber - 1,206.8B
10. Ariana Grande - 1,192.5B18. DaBaby - 827.0M
This list is obviously outdated by 2 weeks but the point is Drake (and other artists with fewer monthly listeners than DaBaby) have more streams than DaBahy.

tbf, monthly listeners means that on a monthly basis, there is a larger number of unique users that are listening to dababy compared to drake. however, as u said, drake is getting more streams than dababy. either way, both artists are eating
