Chris Brown coming out to criticise dababy so funny for some reason
You know you f***ed up if the women abuser is telling you to chill
Yes but at the time, it seemed largely ignored compared to this.
Saying it on a hit song is worse than a line on stage IMO. Both shouldn’t have happened, I just don’t understand the selective outrage
The HIV/AIDS comment is getting more backlash than the sucking d*** comment, but still.
Dior wasn't a massive pop hit the way Levitating is, so obviously not enough gays were aware of that song or Pop Smoke's existence.

Okay so it basically just comes down to the attention it got, they don't actually care about whether the artists they work with are homophobic or not
Tbh all the lgbt people I know aren't too bothered by all this bar maybe sharing a post or two cos most of them don't fw hip hop anyway
but I could see how people within the community could be desensitised to stuff like using gay as a word for bad (even if this still isn't good!) compared to pushing harmful myths about HIV/AIDS which actively harms people and contributes to blocking access to relevant healthcare also
This is true too. I'm gay (if you couldn't tell) and love hip-hop, and my gay friends often criticize me for listening to s*** like DMX, Migos, etc.
It sucks hearing even subtle or blatant homophobia in rap, but I usually just live with it since I love rap too much.
The HIV/AIDS comment is ignorant, dangerous, and irresponsible since so many people are affected, including tons of black people in America and the world. HIV has disproportionately affected black people, so I don't know why he would say that randomly.
People ITT think MADONNA and ELTON JOHN need clout. And that anyone else commenting like Dua Lipa must just be responding to be "woke".
Has it ever occurred to you that maybe some people legitimately support the LGBTQ community?
Madonna and John don't need clout. They're using their name and voice to galvanize a topic.

No it hasn't 😂😂✌👌👌
It's obvious that he knows he meant something different than how people interpreted, but is refusing to clarify bc he thinks it'll help his career
He's not just an a****** he's also stoopid as f*** bc that's not gonna work lol
He's really stupid if he thinks this whole mess will help his career in any way. He offended the very people who control the doors to him reaching higher heights in the industry. What an idiot.

I mean come on, it's hard to be outraged about something if you don't know it exists. It's not about scale vs. support for the community.
If that song was a major worldwide hit that queer people listened to, I'm sure it would've been criticized.

Him and ?uestLove are the only valid opinions. Madonna, Elton John and CNN can are blood leeching scum.

yeah + hes dead so theres not much point in being outraged if he cant change lol
Can’t figure out who I loathe more: dababy for saying stupid middle school tier s***
Or
celebrities who blew this out of proportion, virtue signaling for likes as if they actually give a f***.
It's laughable for people to think that Hip-Hop has majority conservative views. Prisoners' of the moment.

Okay in the hypothetical situation Dua Lipa knew about those lyrics, do you think she would refuse to work with him, or would she still do it because it never got the attention
These pop artists don't care about the morals of the people they work with, they care about the optics
Feel like everyone should move on from this but the internet like ramping up things to the Max.
Before his statement, if you know the type of street dude dababy is, you all know that those dudes have homophobic views. Literally a lot of these hood rappers are homophobic in nature and just keep that inside their circle.
There’s no changing these niggas viewpoints in modern society.
Which is why I’m not surprised this nigga said some outlandish and ignorant s***, cause these kinda niggas always say some outlandish and ignorant s*** all the time, that’s they character. Yeah that character trashed but I don’t see hood niggas changing their views anytime soon just like devout Christians views on the gay community.
Anything after what happened is just lipstick alley tier going back and forth . It’s just a waste of time honestly. I got better things to do with my time than worry bout ignorant individuals
Dua Lipa will put up an IG Story but wont take down the remix off streaming
hmmmmmm I wonder why
