The drums don't hit as hard as what you'd hear on Discovery and the instrumentation is generally much less interesting than their earlier work. RAM seemed to emphasize more on the downtempo/ballad cuts which were never what made Daft Punk great IMO

They did, but I don’t think there was an official statement. Their lead singer, Ed, posted on his IG that they are no longer continuing the project and he’s done with music. He’s in school to be a counselor now.
