i've been a fan for almost two decades now, the writings been on the wall for a minute. it's been incredibly obvious that they've been done for years

its a scene from a daft punk movie where they try to be human and it ends as one explodes and the other burns themself. i see it as not a breakup but as one (or both) want(s) to move on from daft punk

not to over speculate but thomas (the one that exploded) deals with tinnitus and potential hearing loss and had to quit djing clubs in 2002 and quit touring all together in 2007, not really sure what the status of his condition is today but being a musician is tough on your ears
