feel like bc voodoo is more funk influenced, its not as accessible as the traditional rnb of that era

That Musiq Soulchild album is funk-influenced as well

artists performing at the highest level - this s*** is something you just couldn’t capture again even if you tried

they just hit different tbh. musiqs’ album has more trad. song structures

Africa the most beautiful song i’ve ever heard, wow i love this album

I'll say that Voodoo is more experimental with its composition while that Soulchild album reminds me of a throwback 80s Prince-like R&B funk, so you would be right in that regard

But yeah the other 2 are old fashioned R&B
