man this album is amazing

first 2/3 songs were amazing but then it got kinda messy towards the middle and lost me. Im’a run it back tomorrow tho

This album's a mess. Some nice highs, and some very low lows. I dig the Quadeca songs though.

Quaranta was more cohesive and subdued and that worked better for me even though I think I kept more from Stardust cuz its a funner listen

My one major takeaway from this album was that Danny Brown can’t write worth a f*** anymore

Honestly my only real gripe is the pretentious spoken word salad interludes.

Think the quadeca songs are like fine like proper mid and the frost children song is ass to me but the rest of the songs I like
Just wish issbrokie wasn’t on there and Jane beat wasn’t just twice removed without drums lol. Also spoken interludes were f***ing ass garbage butt.

I think Danny not being in top shape on top of me not liking the features on top of the production not moving me leaves me with nothing to grasp onto

I think if Danny was rapping like it was 2012 on here Id be able to get more into it or if he was rapping the way hes rapping now over beats I loved

part of me thinks he's leaving his old style behind going forward with sobriety, slowly filtering out the funny/crass style we love him for. i get some Recovery vibes from this in that way

scaring the hoes is kinda like a sendoff to that danny tbh. he's unhinged on there in the best way

Idk the s***bars on this album are attempted but are just bad compared to his 2010-2013 output, and this albums screams "sequel to old" to me, and come to think of it his last album was a clear sequel to xxx

I think you have a good idea about him moving forward, but I think viewing scaring the hoes as a send off doesn't entirely make sense and this album isn't really a full blown era change marker like that

Cause he was clean for quanta but still performing a lot of scaring the hoes for its tour and acting like he always has on stage really

he wasn't clean for quaranta though, he was still drinking/using during the time he recorded that, same with scaring the hoes. and when i saw him on tour for quaranta his on stage persona was way more toned down since he was sober at that point in 2024. they had security acting like DC sniper for anyone smoking weed s*** at my show s*** was extremely serious

also, if we're going by danny's words, the order is actually this. quaranta & stardust would be after all of these

My problem is 2025 serious rapping Danny is dogshit compared to Hybrid Theory serious rapping Danny. Wild fun exciting Danny is pretty consistent across eras.

I think he's just going for a cleaner sound now and has to find his footing. I mostly really like his rapping on here, and honestly he gave me so much classic danny excellence for like 15 years straight I don't mind him switching it up

Danny's vocals are not good on Lift Me Up to me

And he should have let the the lift me up sampled vocals play out on its own in some spots

The constant flow makes the song come off really tedious, and his vocals don't feel like it meshes with the beat in the song, it is mixed but doesnt sound blended still - at least to my ears and perception

And some of the lyrics are really corny imo

I think his deep voice rapping style actually would have fitted better on Lift You Up

So much potential that imo didn't come to fruition
