Eastbound & Down, Vice Principles, and The Righteous Gemstones are probably the best “cinematic” comedy material of the 2010’s and Righteous Gemstones season 2 should be coming out soon. There’s really nothing else great like this on television or in cinemas. Closest is online YouTube stuff like Gilly & Keeves.

This Is The End while not even that great felt like a last hurrah for comedy movies after a previous decade dominated by tons of classics. Jody Hill was also responsible then for the criminally underrated Observe & Report which probably should have starred McBride now that I think about it. He was also involved in Superbad among other things.

Observe and Report definitely seems like it was written for McBride, but he didn't have the star power. Seth Rogen did a good job though.

I might have to watch that again sometime soon.

Never considered Danny McBride as Ronnie Barnheart but now that it’s said, yeah he would’ve killed that s***.

Movies still a 10/10 though. The Where is My Mind sequence was the hardest I’ve ever laughed at a movie

Vice Principals needs so much more love! Goggins & McBride were an incredible partnership. I’m glad it was only 2 seasons too. Check it out everyone it’s hilarious!

Yeah I loved it. Feel like it ended perfectly but personally I think it could have gone for another couple seasons.

McBride & Hill’s Foot Fist Way is another criminal underrated movie and one of their first collaborations together
