Currently playing DS1 on Switch, surprisingly good port, like playing the PS3 original handheld at a steady 30fps
Just got to Nito, game is absolutely one of the best I've ever played, the whole design of it is legitimately inspiring, I feel like there are lessons you can take from it that you could apply to any medium

u can convey so much to the player with so little guidance
these games make me feel so on edge, and so fascinated by their environments with little to no direct story or dialogue
I'm always recommending Fromsoft games to people. Whether it's Dark Souls or Bloodborne or Sekiro doesnt matter they're all fantastic.

Legit, no horror game has made me feel as much dread as arriving in a new Soulsborne area, just knowing you'll actually have to beat it if you want to get further and there's no telling when the next bonfire could arrive, the stakes are so real because of how unforgiving it is
f*** nito
It's his skeleton army that I think are gonna be the real issue for me, like the Capra demon dogs, unnecessarily cruel

these games are so good at beating your s*** to the ground until u become a badass

Same, every time I come back to it it's like meeting up with an old friend, the moment-to-moment gameplay is PERFECT and the lore and atmosphere are beyond words man, genuine candidate for greatest game of all time and I'm not even kidding
