Similar to how people nowadays same tv and film blend together with streaming. It’s not the same no matter how many times anyone says it. just because theater inspires and outdates Film, doesn’t mean film should choose to replicate theater. Use tools - editing cuts, atmospheric sound, camera as character pov, etc. that theater cannot.

One of the biggest takeaways from the different ones I’ve attended is how regular a lot of the people are. Hard work, smart consistent practice, & big measured risk taking with script/camera/editing are the separators between the haves and haves not. All that glamour & other s*** is for the birds
