He came across as oddly defensive to me. He made the comment about not blaming antisemitism on black people when talking about Kyrie, which seemed like a bit of a strawman. And then one of his main takeaways was that Ye is right that the Jews control everything, but he was crazy to say it out loud. And I feel like that phrasing just adds a lot of support to fringe Nazi-types.
yeah, same impressions
Mine as well. Been to a good amount of his shows. They’re always so effortless and charismatic.
I missed out on the yasiin bey mbdtf show and I still regret it
Huh?
A common criticism was that for a followup to a classic album it lacked effort and wasn't taken seriously especially by Yasiin
They recorded it backstage at shows and hotels over the course of 10 years
If they really were fully proud of it they would prob make sure everyone could peep it. I like the album but it felt half baked at times
The album was being blocked by Egon for a while. I'm pretty sure he denied some songs they wanted on the album and the final product isn't all of what they envisioned. So I wouldn't say it's all on them
Also idk why people acting like they can't go find the album if they really want it. Streaming really spoiled us to the point where y'all refuse to go google a zip file
Why were people boycotting this ?
Cast and fans upset with Chappell for being a transphobe

What the cast do

Such a silly criticism
“Not taken seriously” really
It’s a different sound
They already got paid by Luminary
S*** really lacked exposure imo shows how they ultimately felt about the album
Luminary probably paid for an exclusive for a certain amount of time, it probably hasn’t passed yet
What the cast do
Well supposedly some cast didn’t want to participate which is why some of the sketches seemed scuffed
One other explanation was Chappell wanting to primarily use black cast members
This was hilarious and incredibly thoughtful. He really put a lot of things into perspective and I loved it.
I watched it and was like “that was funny and harmless, he got a bit of everything in there with some decent jabs at Trump towards the end, there’s no way anyone’s actually mad at this” and then you go on twitter and it’s like “Dave Chappelle is Satan”.
That's crazy. I saw Earl last year at a navy blue show. He was a surprise guest but he stole the show and had the crowd rocking
That's because he's one of the best rappers of our time
Nah, yasiin bey made a great point as to why its not and never will most likely be on streaming. Said artists get paid pennies lol
They would get paid nothing if I pirate it as well
I'm not subscribing to luminary for that
