You’re a home owner right sir? So apparently owning a home is cheaper than renting cause the mortgage is only 60 dollars more than rent? Can you confirm that for me? So why don’t more people just buy homes than rent are we just stupid?
God you're so dumb

Average rent here is like $600. Some places let pay for either electric or water. Last place I rented they paid for the water and I paid for the electric. The property didn't have gas and renters insurance is like $25 if you tell them you have a fire extinguisher. I didn't have to worry about maintenance of the place, if anything broke I would just call the landlord and someone would either be out that day or the next. Didn't have to worry about the area around either.
My mortgage is like $1030. My house was $150k and I put $10k down for a 30 year using an FHA. Insurance and property tax is included in that payment. If anything breaks in my house I have to pay for it. Appliances, tile, holes in the wall, water leaks, etc. I have to maintain the property IE mow the yard. Also pay all of the utilities electric, gas, internet.
The thing is eventually your property will earn you money, if you see it as an investment and take care of it. So in the long run it can make you money, if you sell it.

Because you are making an argument that rent is cheaper in the long-run. Otherwise your post is useless

Ah I see. Thanks for the input. With that said could a person who could barely afford a 1050 amount for rent buy your house? Because the mortgage is cheaper than renting?
and I was just told you shouldn’t use your property as investment why? I have no idea.

No because the first thing that f***s up on the house the person wouldn't be able to afford repairs.

Not in the long run no, because there's no end to the rent. At least with a mortgage there is an ending in sight.

Also the maintenance argument is kind of moot because the landlord will just include that in the rent price

Buying a home is cheaper in the long run with a good chance for increased value vs renting is cheaper in the short term with accessibility and easy access to move out.
Renting is basically paying for someone's mortgage

No cuz if they were struggling to pay 1k they wont have a 10 - 20k downpayment anyway.
