i see what you’re saying but im speaking for rappers under 30 or have been big under 10 years. kendrick is a legacy act to me at this point because he’s proven to us who he is he isn’t competing with anyone. same goes for drake, cole, etc anyone from that generation or prior shouldn’t have their new music compared to anyone just appreciated imo

For me psychodrama was great, but his second album was boring and a dissapointment aside from a few songs. I also felt like his delivery started to lack energy and enthusiasm (again apart from a few songs). I really really like this new EP though and he sounds full of life and with something to prove. If he continues like this then he can reach great heights.

I also felt like the beats he rapped over on this were much more interesting than his second album and Psychodrama to an extent.
