    mmmm

    Yeah they all worth it

You get lot of covers in the early albums (anything pre Help! really, that’s because albums back then weren’t really a concept or at least not as we know them now) but it has some of their best most underrated original innocent songs, actually lot of them are my all times favorites - This Boy, It Won’t Be Long, And I Love Her, Tell Me Why, All My Loving, If I Fell, Baby’s In Black..

Funny thing I was one time in NYC during Lennon’s death anniversary and I went in Central Park where they have the plate in memory, near his apartment where he was murdered, people gathers together around it with lights and instruments and sing Beatles songs for hours, there’s even a YouTube video someone took where i can be seen haha

alright I'm gonna go chrono then

oh and a YouTube video i see i see

I’m one to think that a dull album is as offensive as a bad album

And on top of that hours just doesn’t bring anything new you know, sure it was contrast to the over the top Earthling but not a refreshing nor effective creative one, just.. very mid life bored album

yep he just got married in the early 90s and this album just screams of that, just boring.

black tie white noise on the other hand is such a overlooked gem imo, which was actually recorded in the year after his wedding.

Ima have to go back to it it’s been a minute

I just can’t help to think hours was a damage control album... not just musically as it echoes some Hunky Dory sounds with that presence of acoustic guitar

    But even his image

Like what, we’re trying to remind people of Man Who Sold The World era now?

It just doesn’t feel Bowie to me... he never ignores his past obviously, but this felt like a step back without any foot into the future or something new, so very anti Bowie at its core in some way, idk just uninspired

lmfao yea, actually was planning on listening to the man who sold the world tonight once more, so this is good timing

but his mind just wasn't in it making that album, kinda funny he ended the 90s with such a lackluster album but then came back strong with heathen in the 00's.

I know Mike Garson on the piano plays some noodles of a classical piece there but it’s not coming back to me rn at top of my head.. (posting this ina heartbeat right before going into work)
