I like the 2003 take of Rebel Rebel better 🤭
I'm so used to the og lol but the re recording is dope.

Top five Bowie song
Top five Bowie song
not mad at this at all
probably couldn't come up with a cemented top 5 if my life depended on it cause theres so much greatness to pick from.
all ik is : up the hill backwards #1 forever.
Bowie also mentioned the possibility of releasing an album called Inside which would be a making-of about Outside: "Our working method will be detailed on it, a couple of jams and more of those voices. The first monologue of Baby Grace was 15 minutes long and was very Twin Peaks." However, no such album was released.
Pretty sure Eno did some interview around Bowie’s passing saying they were planning to do something with Outside 🤔 it was either revamp it or do a sequel
In the end Blackstar kinda took from it on some songs and in terms of aesthetic so i ain’t mad
the first single is a previously unreleased version of The Man Who Sold The World:

About a year ago we started talking about ‘Outside’—the last album we worked on together. We both liked that album a lot and felt that it had fallen through the cracks. We talked about revisiting it, taking it somewhere new. I was looking forward to that.
I received an email from him seven days ago. It was as funny as always, and as surreal, looping through word games and allusions and all the usual stuff we did. It ended with this sentence: ‘Thank you for our good times, brian. they will never rot’. And it was signed ‘Dawn’.
I realise now he was saying goodbye.

Goddamn
the next day was a fantastic album as well imo
Earthling has some of favourite non-classic era Bowie songs too
Love his vocals on there, Young Americans underrated.
One of his better albums imo.
Young Americans is a classic to me, one of my favourites
It's Gonna Be Me was cut but that's a beautiful track too I think it was originally meant to be the standout on the album - wish he'd put it on over Across the Universe

When the sax comes in
I think you told me about that track actually and yeah that would make it perfect.
That’s the only bad track on there.

Could be wrong but I think it came out of co-writing Fame with John Lennon and he asked him for permission while they were working on that.
Still a crazy reinvention and era.
I'm Afraid of Americans might be my favourite 90s Bowie single too

Didn’t know that
And yeah definitely.
