This s*** bout to be gross asl
It surprises me to hear niggas walk out of Cannes movies. Idk if it’s common but Cannes isn’t just something anyone can go to, so you’d think those who do attend would sit through every movie they get to exclusively watch.

Walk-outs at Cannes have occured almost every year for decades. Its pretty much tradition, and it's usually just people intentionally overreacting to cause a scene and exaggerate their displeasure because that behavior is sorta accepted in that environment. And some more people join in like a kind of very brief crowd hysteria.
The entertainment press is always giddy when it happens because it's an instant headline that guarantees to grab attention and views. And because entertainment press is never satisfied, they will sensationalize as much as possibly, reporting things like "mass walkouts" when its only like 15 people who left — or "Cannes premiere makes audience member physically ill," when it's just someone who had a tummy ache all afternoon and feels nauseous.
Edit: Meant to add that pretty much anyone can indeed go to Cannes as long as you have the money for a pass and your travel expenses, and apply for accreditation. The press and industry professionals just get exclusive access to post-screening press conferences, ebargoed judgments, special press viewing boxes/areas, and sometime exclusive premiere/one-night screenings. It changes year-by-year almost, but there is usually either a pass that anyone can apply for, or a pass that requires extremely easy to obtain qualifications to apply for. (This year has both.)
I wonder if any theaters will be playing a double feature of the OG film and the new one. Would be cool if they did.

Oh wow didn’t know that that’s crazy and good to know. Idk why I always thought Cannes was a more exclusive type event and invite only. I’ve been to the Sundance film festival before so I’m guessing it’s similar.

I'm pretty sure it traditionally was exclusive to press, talent, artists, industry pros and distributors. It apparently wasn't too difficult for people to meet the qualifications to apply for a basic press pass years ago, and it's likely even easier with the rise of the internet and online blogs and freelance submissions.
But somewhere down the line they started letting a lot more non-industry people in

How was it
The good Plot was really something else and i‘m fascinated about the Crimes in the Future. Also Strong NSFW. But partly it was really chewy. Would rate 7,5/10
