Ohhhh it’s cus I put “ thinking s*** “
Happy I could finally see this
I definitely agree that it’s a bit slow, especially the middle, however once he gets to the castle with Joel Edgarton I think the film finally takes flight
The last 15-20 minutes are fantastic and the ending feels rewarding
As an aside dev patel is probably the sexiest man alive
7/10 way better than that dog s*** a ghost story
Did anyone else find some parts of it very reminiscent of The Witch?
I got those vibes too I think it’s because the mom and dad from the witch play the queen and the green knight in this lol

Yeah like A24 got them on a folk film contract or some s***
Enjoyed the movie although it didn’t live up to the hype that the original trailer portrayed it to be imo.
I do believe I read an article stating the director went back and edited a lot of the movie when it got delayed last year due to Covid, which makes me curious if the feel and tone changed because of that.
Waited until I could see it in a theatre and I'm glad I did. Sound and visuals were on point.
Definitely is a slow burn with a lot of parts that feel like they meander but overall I really enjoyed it. Dev Patel was fantastic.

Same here. Finally gave in cause got recommended by people going to the movies at my job and plus the coworkers that did see it. God was it such a trip. I’m still not sure where I land with it, once he got to the castle things seemed to slow really down but it never really lost me. The ending is crazy powerful especially with that beautiful soundtrack. 7.5 or 8/10 to me tbh

Same rating for me. Honestly haven't stopped thinking about it since I saw it.
I hadn’t read anything about it going in and just finished my first watch, had all these crazy theories about what stuff represented that I’m sure is all wrong fun movie though, I like the little vignette storytelling style with each new section
Great movie, I loved all the symbolism and undertones. I'm so glad I caught it in theaters. The visuals were beautiful with great world building. That was a very fun watch with cool intensive moments.
