And beyond the fact that Twin Peaks is literally an idealized, loving portrait of the feds, the typically Lynchian 50s America is a very revisionist, very white world. He's a dreamer and an idealist in both good and bad ways, but his unwillingness to self-reflect brings with it a lot of problems for sure.
