My favorite Weezy song is on C1
!https://youtu.be/7wNk-IY6byoHis most underrated song IMO
I hated that he didn't do the song trilogy thing on Carter 3
Hope he brings it back for Funeral
"Wake," "Service," "Burial"

I remember hearing it for the first time and Wayne instantly became my favorite rapper, alongside 50.

I posted in that Wayne thread about how big of a drop C3 was, and it was kinda weird seeing everybody playing Weezy all of a sudden bc I’d been a fan since C1 thinking like how are you all just now realizing how good he is.

the hate wave against wayne was pretty big at the time, people weren't ready for him, he was too different

Real ones always knew, he just hit a commercial peak with C3. C2 was pretty big, Fireman was everywhere on the radio but it didn't have the commercial success that A Milli and Lollipop had

I don’t think I’ve ever heard a song as many times as I heard Lollipop that year.

I really didn't even like lollipop that much when it dropped tbh plus it got played so much you just got tired of it. Listening now though it's so good
Imma try like hell to catch them live this year bc you never know when they’ll stop playing together again.
Feel like this whole tape was lowkey better than C2
Yo was this the lil wayne rock era?

They are absolute legends. I wish they still made new music, I feel like as political as everything is now they’d be right at home. Then again I’ve been saying that since they stopped releasing albums

they'd fit right in tbh.
i feel like gen Z would eat their s*** up with all the political angst and what not that their bands message puts across.
plus imagine the "make that s*** dark" travis rage fans going over to RATM
s*** would be doopppeee
THEY NEED TO RELEASE A NEW ALBUM
