real music fans in this thread tbh... most of these guys in here appreciate any genre as long as its good music, good music universal.
Thats why I like coming in here everybody so open to checking out music recommendations no matter what it is. Y'all really got gems on gems
Spitta x Max B @DAVIDP I know you not here but this for the morning
Ayoo bro just listened to these tracks. I fw them, they got that southern vibe from the late 2000s.
@Goo @Thugger @fonti @aLIEN
You guys fw the pharcyde at all? Just watched this music video (didn't know it existed) and this s*** is fire. They filmed it entirely backwards then reversed it, which was insane back when it was released I'm assuming.
f***ing classic song and video. one of the best music videos ive ever seen

Yeah this s*** is insane bro, they did this in essentially one take too which is crazy given the limited technology they had back then.

Their debut is one of the most important rap albums of the 90s for me personally, it's normally one of the albums that I recommend younger people to get into 90s rap cuz it's one of the most melodic Hip-Hop records oat, also been Kanye's favorite album at some point, not sure if still is but they got that GOAT cosign

Real
Can't forget A Tribe Called Quest too
This whole chill wave in the 90s really had a whole different vibe I fw it heavy.

Dilla was by far one of the producers of all time. IDGAF what anyone else says. Dude was ahead of his time. Some of these have aged so well.

I can see how it influenced Kanye to some extent.
listening to this Wayne interview he said Missy Elliott is his favourite artist... I always thought Missy was so f***ing ill, I got one of her records on vinyl.

That sound is still fresh IMO. that's s*** that I'd blast around alot of these younger dudes who don't know much about the genre. It's hard to hate on it because it's aged well.

Really interested in seeing how Funeral turns out.
Missy is dope as hell and never gets enough credit. She could rap her ass off, she was entertaining and her music videos are some of the best ever. Timbo was out of his mind producing too.

Bro I can't believe I forgot about these songs. Those were all super popular at one point.. holy s*** lmao
Those early 2000s hits were something else.
And I think that song with Eve was called gangsta loving? I remember it
