People have always pitted them together but they really aren’t even in the same lane. MJ was pop, Prince was a blend of rock/funk/pop/r&b. He played like 27 instruments and released a ton of albums, so there’s definitely some misses in his catalog. I prefer Prince, but that’s bc I heard him more growing up. I’ll link some of my favorite songs. They’re both absolute legends and icons.

Very true. MJ definitely blended a lot of that stuff too, Prince just seemed like he experimented a little bit more into those genres while MJ did it but the music still seemed kinda poppy, at least to me anyway. He was also a temperamental little man who could be difficult lol. MJ was a beautiful soul, I hate how people tore him down.
