Eh I'm not 100% sure, I know Lupe wrote the hook for Superstars for example and wanted to have Chris Martin on the hook but brought Matthew Santos instead.

Sucks they aint collabing anymore, he shows little disdain towards Lupe around the Lasers era but they're cool now. Here's their last picture and it was 4 years ago.
