I’m only 3 listens in and 2 of them have been pretty passive since I was playing it while working.

I just wasn’t getting/loving it. I didn’t feel like it added a lot of value. I love the concept of the album and I think Jim f***in nailed it, and I like most of the radio transitions Abel does throughout and this being the only thing like that on the album just didn’t feel like it meshed in the same way. Which I still don’t think it does, I’d rather have had them make it more radio themed somehow to fit (like maybe him being a guest on a show and then telling the story)

But you’re definitely right about why it’s there and the story does go with the theme.

Yeah you guys are right, I didn’t get it until now. I think the way it’s placed in there just feels a little disjointed to me. But it does fit.
