Dawuna is a New York based singer-songwriter, producer & composer whose output blends an intimate and timeless mode of R&B with a woozy yet intricate and singular production style. His music is primarily informed by the American canon of Black Music (Marving Gaye, Nina Simone, Prince, D'Angelo, etc), but also draws influences from the wider span of diasporic African art.

cool, thanks, nice lil project
the drums from That Hump on the title track was just listening to New Amerykah a couple weeks ago
dude is dope as hell, real contemplative soul music with his own experimental feel to it. i'm gonna play this some more and revisit Glass Lit Dream
survivor muzik
Had this one on repeat last night
listened to Glass Lit Dream, Southside Bottoms, and Naya all in a row tonight.
man, Glass Lit Dream is something else. "The Ape Prince" is his best track IMO. then you got tracks like "The General" and "Bad Karma." it's so immersive, one of those atmospheres you just get lost in. and the lyrics are sharp and thought-provoking.
Naya is a really nice project too, and the funk elements make it a punchier listen. this dude is just a super talented artist though, glad he's finding a way to get this work out properly. needs more attention for sure.

Yeah glass lit dream clicked for me this s*** amazing. Wasn't the biggest fan of it aside from a few songs but yeah it click. Perfect night time listen. He really channels prince very well on some of these tracks in a unique way
