F***ed with it heavy. I thought there were gonna be more repercussions on the main universe and all that though.

All the X-men/Deadpool movies take place in the same universe lil bro

That’s why he tried to dig up his grave

Logan was set in the future

This is not true. All of the films except Logan are shared.

Deadpool & Wolverine specifically names his universe Earth-10005 (which is the same universe as the mainline X-Men films).

The main MCU universe is Earth-616.
Logan's universe is Earth-17315. We don't know anything about the Earth on purpose to leave it vague and ambiguous as to what events are different than 10005. It's an elseworld story explicitly by the director.

There definitely will be. No doubt about that.

He might not be the main character of the saga like he was in the Fox films, but a new version of Wolverine will definitely be in the mainline MCU. It just obviously won’t be Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.

He’s one of Marvel’s most popular characters, there’s no doubt about them reintroducing him to a new generation of fans

Dafoe became the MCU's Green Goblin. There's no Norman Osborn in the MCU, No Way Home confirmed that. We may never see another Green Goblin done in the MCU without Dafoe's being acknowledged or focused on in-universe.

I could absolutely see that happening with Wolverine, especially if Jackman appears in Secret Wars. This film felt like a welcome back and not a goodbye to him.

S*** was good not great, it was funny but the plot was ass

Definitely my least favorite Deadpool movie but still fun

How is the Deadpool movie where he has access to MCU and Wolverine the worst one?

That's what I can't get over. He was making jokes and quips about the MCU and Thanos before. Why is nothing different here now that he's in-universe? lmao

Days of Future Past is the reason why this IS true. There is no explanation in the films themselves of what Earth Logan takes place in

DOFP resets the timeline of everything from Origins to The Wolverine and when Logan comes back it is 2023

The PCS in Apocalypse (set in the 80s in the NEW timeline) has Essex Corp taking Wolverine's blood after he broke out of Alkali. this was confirmed in an interview or movie commentary by the pedophile who directed most of the X-Men films

That blood is what enables Logan to be cloned and the result is X-23 and X-24

Logan takes place in 2029, this takes place in 2024. So the TVA explanation of the timeline being wiped out from the future kind of works

Those films at the time did not abide by a strict timeline because Fox was a MESS

X-Men: Apocalypse is not in Earth-17315. Even if they were planting seeds to tease the next movie on their release schedule.

In what canon medium is Logan's world defined as Earth 17315

"There is no explanation in the films themselves of what Earth Logan takes place in."

That's kind of exactly the point. It's left open-ended on purpose and shoving an intentionally created elseworld story as the canon conclusion to 10005 is annoying af.

Lemme see if I can find out why its designated that world name.

I mean another wrinkle in that is some of the footage of the faciltiy that was creating mutants in Logan was shown in New Mutants which is set in the same world as the other X-Men films.

Like....Logan canonically cannot exist in the same universe as the others (even the new ending of DoFP) because they say there hasn't been a new mutant born in 25 years. The film is intentionally using familiar characters but stating that the world they've lived might not be the same as the one you're used to.

It's the whole reason there's the comic book scene where Logan makes fun of it.

Up until now the post-DoFP / Apocalypse timeline was even given its own unique designation by the fandom as Earth-TRN414

My point isn't that the films have good cohesion. The X-Men timeline is f***ed.

My point is that Logan's pretty clearly an ambiguous/standalone story and making it an important plot point that it's the same Wolverine as the og movies is just dumbass writing.

I mean at the end of the day nobody really knows. Until Feige sits down or someone at Marvel explains this it's going to be up for debate.

It is an important plotpoint in this movie that Deadpool & Wolverine establish Logan as being a canon event to the same universe as mainline X-Men films. They're giving us their answer.

And they did it that way because general audiences don't care about the ambiguity or how it adds to the story Logan was telling. They hardly (or not at all) understand the meta commentary of Logan itself.

None of this stuff is about making an effective story, it's about getting people to point and clap when Wolverine appears short and all hairy or when he runs on all fours.
