Yeah, I really liked the interview. It was cool learning about his career trajectory from Ship-Scope to now.

not sure if i ever talked to you about rehberg / editions mego (RIP) but i've been returning to this a lot

I've been enjoying Forma Norte. One of my favourites of the post-World Music artists.

Editions Mego is great. I remember KMRU saying in an interview that he sent Peel to a few labels, and Peter from Editions Mego was the only one that got back to him, which is crazy. I consider Peel to be one of the best Ambient releases this decade so far. I've enjoyed their other releases as well. Yet to check this one out by Peter himself though.

10 Years of Black Metal
One of the most unique, unclassifiable, and ambiguous albums of the 2010s decade. The mystique around its true intentions still remains 10 years later.
My take is that Black Metal is an elusive politically charged album about the black experience as it pertains to living on the outskirts of society and a deconstruction of masculinity.
“And Beyoncé meant guys like me when she said soldier
Gangster type, when your husband leaves you
Pull up outside, horn in a silver rover
Until this life is over
Get money rolling over”
y’all know if dean has ever discussed blue iverson for any length of time? i wanna know more about it and the extant critical coverage ain’t really doing it for me
