I love Death Grips and our stop on the tour was a lot of fun! No weirdos! Just good times! Thanks Death Grips!
yeah it was a little ironic but he was cooking there
He was cooking but he's also part of that problem
Male egos and sexualities are in shambles
Anything that draws my attention to the fact that I’m intentionally or unintentionally being recorded while at a show is f***ing annoying
Projecting your sexual insecurities and unexplored sexual fantasies onto a random person because you like their songs is crazy
rym genuinely leading the way in the decolonization of music criticism
It's still got a looooooooooong way to go but they running laps around Pitchfork, Allmusic, etc
Other than TND, Fact Mag, and RYM, decolonization of music criticism culture is basically not even happening outside of non-white, non-rockist circles. Fact is GOATed and TND/RYM have a long way to go but at least they're trying. Pitchfork's been embarrassing itself trying to reach "urban" demographics for like a decade now and Rolling Stone is the most washed up s*** ever
First sentence is insanity

Bar is set in hell in all honesty but it's better than nothing
If this was the early 2000s and Pitchfork was still running the show we'd be in the damn stone age rn
I don't think some of y'all realize how whitewashed, rockist, classist, and backwards music journalism had become until Youtube critics popped up lol. If you weren't paying attention back in the 2000s to music journalism I get it but dude the average reviewer in the 2000s was colossally worse than Fantano at his cringiest lol. There's a reason print journalism for music reviews is more or less dead in the water and died swiftly upon the uprising of guys like TND, Shawn Cee, DEHH, etc
Music is so much more fun when you open yourself up
( ) to all kinds of it and stop caring about what other people think of your music taste, because they honestly don't think much unless you're deliberately derailing certain social situations to play deliberately off putting music to seem like you're "edgy" or something
If you're at a large party and throw on "Culture Shock" by Death Grips you should be shot on sight but if you're in the gym and are a dork and are lifting weights and running "Bottomless Pit" from the top down, I don't see the problem here , or even if you're hanging out with friends or hosting a small party/get-together of people who you know want to listen to that music in that setting and enjoy it
In mixed company, generally, don't play Death Grips lmao

Bottomless pit I swear is basically just a numetal album
Might be their easiest album to listen to

It's so fun tbh, ironically enough reminds me of a lot of hardcore dance music
It's like a more polished and somewhat more extroverted take on what they were doing on TMS. My third favorite of theirs
