I like Dunkey but his video on this was dogshit.
I'm sure he was just joking
I'm sure he was just joking
this is not an excuse when he has millions of fans who take his word as gospel and when he also makes just as many serious videos talking about games he likes.

For real, it kinda soured my opinion on him
I'm sure he was just joking
I'm sure he wasn't. He took to Twitter later to make fun of people saying he was playing the game wrong on purpose (which he was).
My kojima game ranking

You one of the first people I've seen that had 2 that high up. Game always gets an unfair rep

People hate this game for it's story but s*** on the kojima game with the most well written story
final thoughts:
not sure why this game was cornered into either being the greatest thing since sliced bread or absolute trash. the game is fine. i'd say above average. I wish they would of added more to the world overall but i think there is enough here to enjoy.
at first i was thinking this was too much walking and no real gameplay but then you realize the gameplay is actually in the navigation, checking you map to find routes, managing your inventory, etc. None of the key boss battles presented any real challenge outside of the first fight with Cliff (i died like 5 times on that part). The boss fight vs Higgs started off really cool then the AI all of a sudden turned into an idiot and was allowing me to easily get in on him which was confusing.
voice acting and mo-cap were excellent
all of this mixed with how unique the game is i think is a net positive for Kojima's body of work despite the negative commentary im seeing. cant wait for the horror game he's creating next

What exactly was dog s***? I haven't seen one counter to any of the points he made, just people who like it trying to brush it off as "hes joking"

He was purposely doing stupid s*** throughout the whole video like riding the bike over a super rocky area expecting it to work and tbh he didn't really make any strong points in the video himself

So your best counter to his video is he rode the bike over rocks? Something that GUARANTEED happened to everyone who played?

Nah there's tons more but arguing with you literally leads nowhere because you don't even make any good points yourself

Also its not guaranteed to happen to everyone, part of the gameplay is planning routes and traversing the world, if I know I'm going to be going across a rocky area I'm not going to try and ride a bike over it like an idiot, I'll either find a way around it or use some ladders, or maybe I'll use the all terrain skeleton to get past it, or maybe i'll build a bridge to avoid it next time and make that particular route easier for next time

You're not arguing with me, you're arguing with Dunkey and the points he made.
Sounds like you just can't

I had the game early, but when you first get the bike iirc you're not connected to the chiral network and every single path to destination on the lazy world map is tediously rocky.
Cool, you use the skeleton legs later to complete walking sim, but lets not pretend vehicles are fun in any way without someone having built a rode before you, which was his point.

Really think you're missing the point of this game
Vehicles are tools to help you, just like the ladders, skeletons and climbing anchors are and you need to plan routes accordingly
Planning routes is an important part of the game, the world is your enemy just as much as the BT's and MULEs are and you need to react and plan to that based on where you're going
Obviously I'm not going to take a truck up into the snowy mountains, I'm going to use the skeletons and make use of the zip lines etc
If I'm going to a MULE camp to raid for supplies to help rebuild the roads to make later deliveries easier and more accessible with vehicles I'm going to use a truck so I can load more cargo on it
If I'm making a delivery to lets say the wind farm I'm going to prepare myself with ladders and get some grenades and other weapons ready in case I get caught by BT's, I'm not gonna be stupid and try and take a bike down there and try to get EVERYWHERE on a bike ๐
When you get your deliveries it even tells you if you're going to be delivering to a rocky area or a mountain area, it also tells you if you're going to be crossing MULE or BT territory or if it's a heavy cargo delivery and you need to use that to plan ahead, preparation is key, but I'm guessing you just tried to bike everywhere like an idiot right? lmao

No, i'm not missing the point. Its impossible to miss the point when parts of the gameplay are bad and/or stupidly tedious cause of "the point".
Planning routes requires no thought. If you run into a BT, cool just crouch. If you see a MULE camp, cool just go around it.
You are making Dunkey's point rather than refuting it with this post. Picking whether to take ladders or not isn't fun, especially 40 hours of it.
