The real ones remember this
I was on the motorcycle so it was a lot noisier for me
Is this game for immersive atmosphere lovers cause that's me
this is immersive atmosphere: the game
playing on widescreen mode is unreal
Playing this for the last few days or so and it’s so weirdly addicting despite being a chore by design
Something kind of peaceful and meditative about mindless inventory management and trekking across terrain
The BT sections are a drag though I think, and any interaction where you need to rapidly respond to something like someone attacking you out of nowhere feels clunky
Wild how much the discourse around this game has changed
I remember when it first came out, everyone was just saying "walking simulator haha" "FedEx worker".
Now people are seeing how unique and engaging it really is. The game is aging really well already and will continue to be relevant for years to come
I think playing the DC version would change my opinion of this game I've yet to play it

Dropped before Covid that's why
Covid happened so different outlook
Sometimes you need to experience something in real life to understand the significance

I mean to be fair it is just a walking simulator for the most part lmao you can’t even deny that in terms of the gameplay loop
I want to like this game, but it's so damm confusing and convoluted. I can't remember or understand all these mechanics.

Yeah it’s funny because this game has a lot of similarities with Breath of The Wild and people love that game
For someone like me that didn't know much about the game when it released because I didn't have a console back then, but when pandemic came I bought a PS4, I didn't get to play it back then because it didn't click with me but when Director's Cut arrived I seen ziplines and stuff and I thought the PS4 version is vanilla as hell
Turns out that's all in the original game and I decided to fully go into the game since early June and I been having a blast, all of that left me confused though as to what enhancements DC has because I thought ziplines would be one of those AND guns
In short, it turns out you aren't really missing anything if u don't have the DC
Very slow until Episode 3 too I can see why people (like myself before) can't really get into the game and quickly start to write it off
It's slower than RDR2 intro, but once u start getting the proper equipment, the trekking itself becomes trivial
Edit: Forgot to say that even Floating Carriers, I thought that's a DC feature
One of the biggest letdowns of all time for me personally
Still an amazing piece of art but it could have been way better

That’s what the sequel’s for
Bruh this game is nuts
One of the best games I ever played
At the same time containing eye roll type "comedy" & dialogue which imo ruins some of the immersion and some serious moments in the game
Not taking and taking itself serious is a pacing issue in the story
Over-explaining the tutorials is a Japanese trope that's not gonna stop anytime soon, I dislike that alot
I get it bro I know what to do
The game gets less tedious by each chapter
The game overall is very unique and something that has never been done before
Off that alone I salute Kojima, hopefully his next project is something thought provoking like this
I'll continue playing this, already got close to 50hours
xbox release
