This is never explicitly stated so I never knew until I read about it online

Finished it a few days back. Story is solid. Did feel it dragged for a few episodes but so worth it by the end.

there's like 30 people in this thread loving it and losing their minds over it and there's 2 specific trolls that continually come here to convince newcomers that the game is bad (even though they caved and bought it themselves apparently).

You're smart fam. Listen to who you'd like to. Game isn't for everyone, but it's people like the trolls that are making it have the mixed reviews while most people that actually play it are loving it.

This game is not for everyone. It is alright to dislike the game and nothing is perfect, so naturally it has flaws. It is different in some aspect and take that whatever way you feel like, positive or negative.

No need to ride for it either way, just accept that some like it and some don't.

However, for you that did not like the game: Did you actually play the game and at least like some aspects of it?

No. There is genuinely nothing to like about this game. Even the story, which is the crux to fall back on for those who like it and rightfully so when the gameplay objectively has no "better than OK" qualities, is overly dramatic rubbish.
