this is more the hitman games then a full roguelike

also this isn't made by a sony dev or a sony exclusive. it's just another game

oh yeah i forgot this isn’t completely exclusive

    xbox game pass day 366

its worth the wait, in the sense that its a great game but could end up with "more to it" by the time it drops on xbox

i copped for ps5 and its dope but... idk, not a fan of how easy everything feels to figure out lol maybe because im coming off Prey as their last game, doesnt feel like a waste of money either tho im gonna hop on in a bit

Honestly I’m turning off all the hints and tutorials and s***, I’d prefer to just learn on my own and go my own path

Ideally yes but it wasn’t just enemies it was the entire NPC system. Final product is nothing like what had been shown previously and they’re still no where near the original vision.

While I agree with some of the criticism that the management over-promised a f*** ton of deliverables that never happened (“alive city”, “perfect future simulation”, “unique npcs”), the game was f***ing incredible on PC.

The story breaks your heart, the music/dialogue/plot & pacing pull you in, the character design/creation immerses you & the combat system is fun af.

Should’ve been marketed as a futuristic GTA tbh.

Is it great btw? I heard people saying it’s like a polished & professional looking “Valorant” type game..

It was marketed as a futuristic GTA…that’s the issue. The world is bland af lacking tons of systems GTAV pulled off in 2011 on the PS3/xbox360.
It should have been marketed as a story driven RPG with some open world elements.

Lol not at all man, the actual CP2077 thread here details chronologically what it was. CDPR had it’s genre set to a “Futuristic RPG” before it came out (this is confirmed), and then suspiciously changed it to “Futuristic Action-Adventure” when they realized what their actual game was, like weeks prior to release. People literally thought it was going to be a futuristic Witcher/Skyrim.

It was never marketed as a futuristic GTA. Which GTA game had perk points & character buff development with different play styles? Those are about the only RPG elements they half-assed in.

So in offline mode julianna can still enter your game but it’s just controlled by an AI?

I’m loving it but it may not be for everybody

The shooting mechanics and traversal have a lot of polish for sure, it’s so fun to control. Story is captivating so far but I’m only 2-3 hours in. The puzzle aspect is difficult but I turned off the quest markers and hints so maybe that’s why lol.

I didn’t want it to be too easy when I started noticing how much handholding there was, luckily you can control most things in settings

People definitely thought there would be a police/wanted system with chase sequences outside of that one mission.

he’s ignoring the main objective and just exploring the side stuff which is cool, I feel like he’s just vibing. He’s getting creative with it and f***in around with it, he said he likes how many checkpoints there are so that it’s not too brutal with the “loop” reset where you lose some stuff and reset the day

btw yeah I’m enjoying it so far, it’s cool to see a game use time loop mechanics with the sandbox approach. Not sure if there’s anything quite like it actually

The whole game is like one big puzzle but I had to turn off all the hints and waypoints because it was too much

Also the writing and voice acting is great which is important to me

u real for lirik, been watching him since the arma 2 mod days

    deathloops looks like fun tho

Idk just doesn’t seem for me. Might get it on a sale. There’s an insane amount of games dropping between now and like March 2022 though that I want.

i started watching cause i wanted to see arma gameplay and no cam on stream

turning off hints + waypoints = fixed the game

i wonder if they added those later on in dev because some people probably NEED them but thats a lot of handholding

I'm sure he was exaggerating but he did seemed genuinely frustrated

He's still playing though so it can't be all bad
