Jun 28, 2024·1 replyABCDEFGavin is well known enough where he doesn’t really have to tell his story. Michelle Obama does have baggage, she is popular because she is not a politician and has not had to deal with attacks (besides tabloid trans rumors). When Trump starts attacking her that will fall.
She is not qualified. I do think she could beat Trump, but I don’t think she’s most likely to.
Gavin is not nearly as well known as Michelle or liked. Also, you have to think strategy.. Michelle is not even a politician really. If she loses, who cares because she has other interests and ambitions.
On the other hand Gavin and Whitmer both clearly want more. I would not throw them into this crazy race this late in the game and risk their political future.
Finally, I don't think most people would think Michelle is not qualified if Trump is.
