I use minimalism to compensate for the lack of control I feel with my own life

Doesn't sound like you need to declutter it just sounds like you're an unorganized ass person that needs to keep track of stuff more lol

Decluttering is part of the process. I have tons of things I no longer need, but I keep them around for no reason other than "just in case."

Organization is exactly what I'm trying to accomplish here, so you're not completely wrong. I AM an unorganized person. I put off cleaning and organizing because my mind's preoccupied with numerous anxious thoughts. Work is miserable and stressful. Knowing that free time is limited scares me, so I usually don't spend it cleaning up since I'm afraid of running out of time for other activities. However, I know organizing is an important part in becoming happy, so I'm following through with it.

You really going to make me clean my room, wow, who are you? My mom or what😑

this is the voice of your conscience “Jordan Peterson”. Clean your room, 12 steps of life, you’ll be a rock lobster if not a monster

Seems like I forget a lot of things these days because there's so much going on. My room is a mess. My car isn't as organized as needed. My laptop's files are all over the place. Tons of clothes, but barely anything good to wear. It's frustrating, especially when free time is so limited.

It's common sense. Decluttering, cleaning up, and simplifying things can make your life a whole lot better. Who else is in on this?
