Looks like they're making these videos themselves and sending them to scammers in hopes they'll get money put onto their account.

I've seen 2 people I follow on IG now get hacked by these bitcoin investment scam pages. They start sending advertisements to all of their followers, post fake bank account pages, etc.

But the terrifying thing is both of them have also posted a video that looks like them but advertises this 'bitcoin investor' and how legit they are.

Are these deepfakes or is this part of the process they have to send this video to the scammer in order to get the money? Weird and creepy af

Are they like a still image or an actual video of them that's been manipulated? I saw a YouTube ad recently that had footage from a real Elon Musk speech but edited a different mouth over his and had a text-to-speech voice advertise a similar scam

What if they have a program that runs thru all your old stories, uses facial recognition to target ones specifically where you're talking, and runs thru a bunch of promotional phrases to see which one they can match closely to sync to your lips?

I don't have him on anything else, unfortunately. The only person who might know wassup is my homie's 14/15 year old little brother, because he's friends with this guy's little brother. but I'd feel weird af messaging him to pry about more info on this

And the last time I saw this was from a local artist. And that dude was serious about his s*** and kept his page real professional for the music. So it doesn't seem like he'd be down to start scamming people off his insta.

Then like I said, I checked a couple days later and he had deleted his page. He's got a new page, just says the old one was hacked

So I'm still up in the air whether its a deepfake or they did the video because they were promised money for it. But idk how you could be asked to do a video like that and NOT think its a scam.

So I messaged Squad's aunty, cause she follows Twin AND lives with Squad's little bro. Maybe she has some insight to what's going on.

And yes, I know I'm getting way too invested in this. Its probably (hopefully) gonna end with me finding out he recorded that video all on his own because he thought he was about to come up.

Just to throw in what I know, when people get scammed on cashapp the person always says to send them a video after they sent the money, like they’ll say it before they’re about to “send them” the profit or whatever, humored a Snapchat before and all day and night they would post videos of people saying it was real, I never sent anything
