It’s such a shameless shonen with one of the biggest budgets and studios giving it TLC

I can’t help but cringe at Tanjiro saying he can’t do this and can’t do that 50 times before magically being able to do it. But that’s what shonens are about.

Unfortunately for us we’ve been spoiled by other shonens that went against the grain recently and put out pure art so demon slayer ends up being a pretty looking slog half the time.

Actual complaints about this arc though. Of course the biggest are the ass pulls and the fights being sub par.

Complaints about the adaptation. Terrible pacing all season long. Mitsuri got zero screen time in the entire finale. Not extending her fight and showing more was a big let down. Didn’t do a great job showing how strong Muichiro is but that’s mostly because both of these upper moons looked like jokes.

Need a big bounce back to end the series. Luckily the last arc is just nonstop fights.

The overwhelming amount of flashbacks to pad time

Was very excited for this arc as I've seen a lot of vocal anticipation for it from the manga-readers and fans... but wow, that was probably the actual definition of a painfully average season.

Cool ending for Nezuko, but it felt like almost everyone who I thought meant serious business was undercut and made into a straight joke…. which includes both Upper Moon and Hashira. Then there’s the constant copy/paste enhancement following a flashback montage of their life, the recycled and outright boring fighting format during what felt like every conflict, and random power-ups tossed in there that did not feel natural, earned, or justified from said conflict. I can’t get over how absolutely garbage the antagonists are here after being painted as these menacingly powerful beings.

Idk. It just left me mad as hell lol.

Almost finished. Even tho this sword-smith village arc is lowkey a rehash of last season (district entertainment) it’s still pretty good. I forgot how epic this anime can be.

How does it hold up to the last tour? Tengen fight coupled with the stunning S3 premier is hard to beat. Idk if I want to watch the last ep of S3 again
