Comparing him to Nolan is a little disrespectful imo

Disrespectful?? To who??
Nolan gave us the greatest superhero trilogy or greatest superhero movie
Gave us one of the greatest war movies
Gave us one of the greatest space movies
They are at par at best, and i think Nolan even gets the upper hand cause of his box office numbers
I absolutely loved it. My biggest issue is with (imo) a bit of a dissatisfying ending & a few key parts from the book missing, but the worldbuilding & the characters (especially Jessica & Stilgar) keep me thinking back on it.
Solid 8.5/10 & it must look spectacular in IMAX
same for me.

Nolan is mid, but Tenet, Inception and Interstellar are good for bringing new stuff to the greens
Listening to the soundtrack on my way home from the cinema rn. The score was perfect
Crazy how we don’t get this for another month and half the world is already watching it lol

Like it’s not really close to me.
Nolan makes flashy movies for sure but Denis is on an other level overall

How many Nolan films gave you seen bro
All of them other than Following.
I’m a Nolan fan he makes cool fun films just nothing with the substance Denis does.

Only thing I'll say is Denis characters are more 'human' if that makes sense. Nolan's characters at times feels like they are just tools to make a great story. But Nolan all the way though it's very close. Denis doesn't have a movie as good as Dark Knight that's why it's still Nolan for me.
I actually made a thread on this a while back

Denis movies feel a lot more natural so I can understand what you mean about the characters feeling more human.
I think Nolan puts you in a vehicle from one end to the other whereas you feel like you’re exploring a Denis movie while watching it.
That might not be the best a***ogy idk
you must have just watched Arrival
"In war there are no winners, only widows"
And no I didn't just watch Arrivals
